Musky vanilla and citrus peel, swirled with cinnamon and juniper berry.
This fragrance is reminiscent of a cologne known to many. Here at Cricklewood, it also reminds us of dad.
Our parents’ story began at the Cricklewood Coffee Shoppe in 1950. In August 1955, their first child was born in Germany, where our father was stationed. In March 1956, they returned to the USA as first-class passengers aboard the ocean liner SS United States.
Our parents, and sister, disembarked in New York City during a snowstorm, with just twenty-five cents to their name, a room at our grandparents’ home and the promise of a future career for our father through the GI Bill. While this candle is created in memory of our dad, it is also a tribute to the great men and women, past and present, who serve their country with duty, goodness, and honor.
Since this initial post, news came to us that the SS United States who's maiden voyage was in 1952, embarked on her final voyage to the gulf after 30 years docked in South Philadelphia. Sections of this historic vessel will be sunk to create the world's largest artificial reef while a museum and visitor's center, will honor the ship's history. Learn more SSUnitedStates

Though paraffin might be easier to work with, we feel crafting our candles from vegetable based, non-toxic and renewable resources is the better choice. Be sure to follow our first burn guidelines for a long, smooth burn.
